Good resistance to many industrial chemicals after complete curing.
Unaffected by most petroleum products and oils such as skydrol, animal oils and fats, salt and waste water. Outstanding alkali resistance. Not recommended in areas where high resistance to organic and mineral acids is required.
Surface preparation
The substrate must have a minimum, compressive strength of 25 N/mm²
and surface tensile strength should not be below 1.5 N/mm².
Substrate should be fine - gripping and solid, free from loose and
friable particles, surface laitance, dust, oil, grease, previous coatings.
All dust and other debris from the preparation process must be removed prior to continuing with the work.
Small areas where oil or grease persist should be treated with chemical degreaser. Large areas of such contamination must be removed by flame cleaning
Mixing
POLYFILLER WA 2055 is supplied in pre-weighed packs ready to use on site.
Mix the base (A) and hardener (B) components until an even colour and consistency is achieved for 3 to 4 minutes
Do not dilute components separately. Dilution should be made to mixed products only.
The use of part packs and mixing by hand must not be permitted.
Application methods
Prepared surfaces should be primed with POLYFILLER WA 2055 , diluted with 15 – 20 % clean potable water. Prior to the application, concrete surfaces should be soaked with clean potable waterto reduce the danger of pinholes, prior the application of primer coat.
Surfaces should only be damp. All standing water must be removed before the application.
Apply the primer coat to form a thin, continuous film by roller. Avoid over application and puddles. Porous floors may require two coats of primer.
The primer should be allowed to cure until it becomes ²tack-free² before applying the top coats.
For top coat application, mix the components as supplied. Once mixed, the POLYFILLER WA 2055 must be used at once. It shall be applied directly on to the prepared surfaces by the use of short hair rollers, brushes or a suitable airless spray.
Application temperature
Optimum results are achieved when both material and surface
temperature are 10 - 30°C
Surface temperature should be min. 3°C above the dew point.
Pot life
At 20°C, 2 hours (Higher temperatures shorten pot life.)
